Overview
Leading the Settings 3.0 overhaul at Waitwhile, I collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop a scalable, user-friendly settings interface. This redesign not only streamlined user workflows but also laid a robust foundation for future feature integrations.
Approach
I began with a deep analysis of existing data, user feedback, support tickets, and live customer sessions. I mapped this input against a UX and UI audit of the current settings experience and identified key themes causing confusion and friction.
From this, I created three distinct prototype directions focused on resolving these issues. Each prototype was tested with users and benchmarked against the existing production UI.
Once a clear winner emerged, I developed a component based design system and restructured the entire settings information architecture to support core workflows like staff availability and service management. I created wireframes for the entire page collection so that we could get a realistic sense of the new design. Finally I made sure everything was responsive and made sense on all devices.
The final solution was tested both internally and with select enterprise customers during live feedback calls. It was built for performance, scalability, and clarity, while also supporting faster product development.
Outcome
- Support tickets related to settings dropped significantly.
- Core workflows became easier and faster for users to complete.
- The new component framework enabled rapid rollout of new settings modules.
- The design system became a scalable foundation for future product work.
Impact
Location Settings 3.0 laid the foundation for a more intuitive, robust, and scalable settings experience. Adding new settings can now be done with ease, knowing that there is a strong, proven foundation in terms of UX and components.
